Good Day, All!!
Thank you for visiting Us today, and on such a sweltering day at that! As we write, the temperature is 100 F, and with the humidity factored in, it feels like 110 F!! Way too hot to ask Cook to fire up the kitchen range, so we sent out for a pizza. We chose a Chicken Fajita Pizza from Poppa John's, as you can see. Princess Marigold likes her pizza spicy, so she is examining the spice packets that came along with the pizza. Unfortunately, they were fresh out of Organic Catnip, the Queen's favourite. We understand a fresh shipment will be delivered momentarily! We thank or Most Favoured Servant, ML, for the gift of the catnip!
Queen Mum is expecting a mystery parcel to be delivered by a nice young man wearing brown shorts at any moment, now! We So love suprises! It's like Christmas in July!!
Please do excuse us while we wait expectantly by the door for this nice young man...Queen Mum is seriously considering asking the nice young man wearing brown shorts if he would pose for a photo holding the parcel, but doesn't want to appear affected by the heat. However, the temptation is strong, and Queen Mum's resolve is weak, alas...
We will chat again very soon! Have a most Blessed Day!
I'm afraid we are having technical difficulties on two fronts. Queen Mum Rose couldn't get a photo to download, and Blogger ate her recent post of information regarding said problem. We are Not Amused. We will attempt to correct the situation and with Providence's help, post later this afternoon.
Wishing all a most blessed day!
For once, the technical difficulties I have with the Royals site is NOT the fault of Blogger (shhh, don't let them hear that!). Hence, no picture at this post. We are working on the problem and hope to have it sorted out by this afternoon.
HM Queen Emily seems to be experiencing a touch of Melancholia. I'm a bit concerned for her. I fear she's been overwhelmed by The Young Royals, so I gave them a quiet Time Out, and spent time with Emily alone.. She seemed to feel a bit better, as keeping up with all that youthful exuberance is daunting, to say the least. I'm thinking perhaps, having not been a mama herself, she still doesn't quite know what these tiny fuzzy creatures are supposed to be, exactly! When they are all grown, (which I personally hope is later rather than sooner!), I expect her to have an aHah!" moment and and the heirarchy of the House of Myres will be reestablished. After all, WHO IS QUEEN?!
Queen Mum is anticipating anothre parcel from the Most Gracious Godmother Deb, which will be delivered today by a man wearing brown shorts...how intriguing...the parcel is of interest, as well!
Have a Most Blessed Day, and we shall update everyone once the parcel is delivered.!

Good Day, Loyal Subjects!
HM The Queen Mum has submitted this photo of HRH Princess Marigold to "The Daily Kitten" for consideration. "The Daily Kitten" holds a stong sentmental place in Our hearts, as there is where we all came to know each other. "TDK" begat "Kat's Cat of the Day", where HM Queen Emily was featured recently, and where the initial concept for Rose and the Royals began. We all have a long (well, for our 14 weeks of life) history together.
It was suggested today, by Our Most Gracious Godmother Deb, that Our Biography be written. And so it shall be. HM Queen Mum will begin Her outline today, and We will share Our lives with you from Our earliest memories.
Godmother Deb accomplished a most remarkable feat of gracious charity today! She was made aware of a rescue shelter in Paterson, NJ in despirate need of a new air conditioner. The Kindhearted Lady Leslee Dimond, of "Here Kitty Kitty, Inc." circulated an electronic mail message alerting those among the Feline Inclined population to her plight. As Fate would have it, The Queen Mum noticed this message and forwarded it among Our FuZZ Family. As always, Godmother Deb responded immediately to the needs of Our cousins in New Jersey, and contacted The Home Depot in Passaic, NJ. Now, Godmother Deb is a true Lady of action! What can be done tomorrow may as well be done today, and after speaking with the kind Manager for 5 minutes or so, she had procured a DONATION of a Brand New Air Conditioner for Lady Leslee's cattery! Not only that! Our Lady ML, also of generous heart, donated to the cattery funds to help provide for Fresh Step Cat Litter, Lady Leslee's choice brand, and other necessities our cousins may have. If Our Subjects would like to visit "Here Kitty Kitty, Inc." site, it can be viewed by the following link: (http://www.herekittykitty.petfinder.org/) .
Well, we've had a most eventful morning, and it has just chimed 12:00 Noon!
We thank you as always for visiting us, and hope you have a Most Blessed Day!

Good Morning, Loyal Subjects!
I was just planning to do some work on the site, but something really, REALLY
funny happened this morning that had me
laughing so hard, I had tears in my eyes!
I was making the bed around 3 romping Royals, when Brutus noticed the dressing mirror I have attached to the wall, across from the bed. It's about 4 feet away from the edge of the bed, and I guess Brutus noticed the OTHER cat - his reflection, in the mirror! Now, as he's been growing SO quickly, his jumping skills would be the envy of any Olympic athlete. (Oh, that gave me a thought: I should DISCUSS the next CatOlympics with him!) Quick as a shot, he made a flying leap towards the mirror, a perfect Long Jump...RIGHT INTO THE WALL!!! It was like a Road Runner cartoon, when Wyle E. Cayote hits a canyon wall and slowly slides down! He looked so embarrassed! It was precious! A tale (tail?) I heard once, is that one should never laugh at a cat, because they CAN get embarrassed and maybe need therapy, I don't know... I know only that I thank God every moment of the day for those two young ones, and for my precious, Emily! I think about the fact that if it were not for Our most compassionate Deb Taylor, those two ginger FuZZes would not be bringing me such joy! Rescuers DO have a special place in Heaven waiting for them!
THE RESCUE RAINBOW BRIDGEAuthor Unknown
Unlike most days at Rainbow Bridge, this day dawned cold and ray, damp as a swamp and as dismal as could be imagined. All of the recent arrivals had no idea what to think, as they had never experienced a day like this before. But the animals that had been waiting for their beloved people knew exactly what was going on and started to gather at the pathway leading to The Bridge to watch. It wasn't long before an elderly cat came into view, head hung low and tail dragging. The other animals, the ones who had been there for a while, knew what his story was right away, for they had seen this happen far too often. He approached slowly, obviously in great emotional pain, but with no sign of injury or illness. Unlike all of the other animals waiting at The Bridge, this animal had not been restored to youth and made healthy and vigorous again. As he walked toward The Bridge, he watched all of the other animals watching him.
He knew he was out of place here and the sooner he could cross over, the happier he would be. But, alas, as he approached The Bridge, his way was barred by the appearance of an Angel who apologized, but told him that he would not be able to pass. Only those who were with their people could pass over Rainbow Bridge.
With no place else to turn to, the elderly cat turned towards the fields before The Bridge and saw a group of other cats like him, also elderly and infirm. They weren't playing, but rather simply lying on the green grass, forlornly staring out at the pathway leading to The Bridge. And so, he took his place among them, watching the pathway and waiting.
One of the newest arrivals at The Bridge didn't understand what he had just witnessed and asked one of the animals that had been there for awhile to explain it to him. You see, that poor animal was a rescue. He was turned in to res! cue just as you see him now, an older cat with his fur graying and his eyes clouding. He never made it out of rescue and passed on with only the love of his rescuer to comfort him as he left his earthly existence. Because he had no family to give his love to, he has no one to escort him across The Bridge. The first cat thought about this for a minute and then asked, "So what will happen now?"
As he was about to receive his answer, the clouds suddenly parted and the gloom lifted. Approaching The Bridge could be seen a single person and among the older animals, a whole group was suddenly bathed in a golden lig! ht and they were all young and healthy again, just as they were in the prime of life."Watch, and see" said the second feline. A second group of animals from those waiting came to the pathway and bowed low as the person neared. At each bowed head, the person offered a pat on the head or! a scratch behind the ears. The newly restored animals fell into line and followed him towards The Bridge.
They all crossed The Bridge together. "What happened?" "That was a rescuer." The animals you saw bowing in respect were those who found new homes because of his work. They will cross when their new families arrive. Those you saw restored were those who never found homes. When a rescuer arrives, they are allowed to perform one, final act of rescue. They are allowed to escort all those poor animals that they couldn't place on earth, across The Rainbow Bridge."I think I like rescuers", said the first animal.
Have a Blessed Day, Everyone and their special FuZZes!

Good Morning!
The Royal Family woke at sunrise. The Queen Mum could have used a sleep-in, since she had but 2 hours sleep: all sorts of thoughts racing through Her head. She did recall part of a dream that fussed Her some, needing a nice hot cuppa at about 4:30 AM, but she declines to comment on it, preferring to keep it Her "Dirty Little Secret", she confided with a wink!
Godmother Deb sent The Young Royals a parcel, which arrived last evening. In it, were the Young Royals early kittenhood bed, which they recalled straight-away. Three brand new collars, one for each of the Young Royals, in the appropriate shade of Royal Blue, with very pretty whimsical designs, and one for HM Queen Emily, in a sporty shade of yellow, which She most enjoys. One can only wear those old hand-me-down diamonds and pearls from Grandmama for so long...the Royal Family were most impressed with the vast array of playthings, of all descriptions that Deb so carfully packaged. HM the Queen enjoyed the Young Royals antics for the better part of an hour.
It has been announced that this site documenting the Royal Family will be from today forward known as "Rose and the Royals". Rose is Our most gracious Lady-in-Waiting, and does a few things, here and there for us. Today, Rose plans to change the template to reflect the chosen Royal Title.
Well, that will be all for now. We have not had our breakfast yet, and yearn for a nice cup of tea.
Have a most Blessed Day!

This post is a rehearsal. I will attempt to post 2 photos, while standing on my head, balancing 2 kittens on my feet, using HM Queen Emily as a headcushion and drinking a glass of iced tea.
It may as well be true, because at this precise moment, that scenario seems easier!
I am considering changing the name, or creating a second blog, since this idea seems to be heading towards a Royal Family History Blog...name suggestions, please?!
Well, here goes!
