Beau and Brutus Share The Word ~ and a Blankie

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus".
Phillippians 4:6-7

When I first saw the photos of Beau that Teresa had sent me, the last photos taken in the only home he knew, Cathy's home, my heart broke a little.
Beau looked like he knew he was on a long journey and was in a sense sad that there was no turning back.
Today's photo I share with you of Our Brutus, you will notice he is snuggled into the same blankie Cathy had on her bed that was Beau's "nest".

Barbara is due over for supper later today, and I wanted to unpack the ginormous box "Aunt T" had sent of Beau's things to make way!
I put the blanket on my table for just the time being, while I took the box out to recycling.
When I came back, there I found Brutus in what looks to be a very restful, comfy snuggle.
He must know Beau and Cathy by their scents.
And he loves them,
by their scents.
It's been close to 2 hours and Brutus is now asleep in the little nest Beau and Cathy shared for years.
Now, I know where to shop for a similar blankie for Brutus,
but how ever can I replicate the Scent of Love Beau and Cathy shared, and in which Our Brutus is peacefully resting?

"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord"
Psalms 31:24

Have a Blessed Sunday

Beau looks so sad in those pictures it made us cry. But we know it will help him to have his blankie back with Mom Cathy and his smells on it.

oh the mom started crying all over again about MomCathy. this has been a very long and very hard journey for Beau, and in a way, also our mom, who loved Cathy dearly and aches for the friendship, not lost, but just postponed until they both meet again. We hope that Beau's heart is happy now that he has his and his mom's love blankie.

This is so beautiful and we hope that Beau knows that he is indeed blessed by so many and that his first Mom is watching over him to help him begin his new life in his new home.

We got choked up too seeing him on Cathy's bed with the blankie. Funny how stuff like that gets to you all at once. With the blankie, and his momma's scent and God with him Beau will not be anxious. What a perfect verse for the picture.
Brutus, you know a good thing when you see it! You are very handsome on the blankie!!!! We are pleased to meet you.

Rose, someone suggested that I hurt your feelings last week when I asked for an update on Beau. I won't apologize for being anxious about him, all of us want him to settle in well for his sake and for his new Mom's sake. But please understand that I am brand new to your blog, brought by Beau (if that makes sense) and know nothing about your clan yet. I was very sorry to hear of your troubles. I understand anniversaries quite well. I also understand that you have an auction going on because of Brutus being sick with allergies. I am so sorry. I lost my 19 year old in May and her 18 year old daughter 3 months later. You feel so helpless when they are ill. Please, forgive me if I was short or rude or if I hurt your feelings. No such thing was intended. God Bless and Good Luck to you. Marian in Houston

When I saw those photos of Beau, my heart broke a bit more. He is so grieving for his Mom Cathy.
I love that Brutus and Beau are sharing the blanket.
I hope they can become great friends someday.
Rose, this is such a sweet post, bittersweet.
Love & Purrs,
Mom ML & KC

My dear Rose, I do believe YOU have that same special scent of love that Cathy had! Look at what you do for your own sweet kitties, what you've done for Beau and Barbara, and for others around you as well! Brutus obviously has that lovin' feeling, too! I hope you & Barbara had a great visit over dinner and that the goodie box will be helpful. Again, feel free to keep what you all want & toss the rest. With much love to you all (kitties & humans, of course!), Aunt T.
P.S. One of these days, I'll set up an ID!!!

Hi Mumma - we did not know you lived in Connecticat! Guilford is still as lovely as ever. Thank for the news of Beau. It broke our hearts as well to look upon Cathy's blanket. We wish much peace to Beau and Barbara and lots of fun!
