Hello, everyone.
I've decided to give these sites a "time-out" for the next week. By then, things should be back in place, and we will have fresh new photos and stories to share.
Hope to see you back then!

Rose
Emily, Marigold and Brutus

Hello to Our Loyal Subjects!

Hoping today is shaping up to be a fine day for you. It IS almost the weekend, and that can never be a bad thing!

Queen Mum went to replace the batteries for our silver flash box, and did not realize it needed a special kind of battery. So, since this cyberspace billboard proved SO uncooperative yesterday, We will be sorting through what we have on our computer, and choosing a photo from the lot you haven't seen yet!

This is a photo taken as the Queen Mum was attempting to make the bed in the morning. The Royal Family all believe they are working very hard to help Queen Mum, but they confuse "help" with "play" and it takes double the time to make the bed, because Queen Mum can't help but stop to play, too! When Princess Marigold attempts to smooth out a rather large lump, it usually turns out to be Prince Brutus!! Rather than annoy Queen Mum, this morning "ritual" as it has become, is one of the many high points in the day that The Royals provide to her!!
We are very pleased to be the reason for our Queen Mum's smiles and laughter, as it comes quite easily to us - we're simply being ourselves!

We thank you very kindly for dropping in to see us! And as always, please do have a Blessed Day!

Just a note...
Please find our second site at

Thank you!

We are thoroughly exhausted!!!

We now have an alternate site that the Queen Mum created after Much Frustration. It will have additional photos to those appearing here.
you may access it (fingers crossed) at
www.royalphotos.blogspot.com

Absenthe is the drink of choice at the moment, my dear friends.

Good Night to you all!

Our Friend Deb Taylor is in hospital, admitted overnight. I thought of the following prayer, as I always do when I think of Deb!

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love;where there is injury, pardon;where there is doubt, faith;where there is despair, hope;where there is darkness, light;where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
St. Francis was born at Assisi in 1182. After a care free youth, he turned his back on inherited wealth and committed himself to God. Like many early saints, he lived a very simple life of poverty, and in so doing, gained a reputation of being the friend of animals. He established the rule of St Francis, which exists today as the Order of St. Francis, or the Franciscans.

The prayer has many of the biblical truths of what it means to be a Christian - to seek to give, and in so doing, receive blessings; that the Lord's Prayer asks God to forgive us as we forgive, and that the goal of eternal life can only result from us putting to death our old sinful lives.
Pointers for Prayer : Sometimes Christians are called to turn the world upside down. To bring the exact opposite of what we find in our world. St. Francis' prayer is a bold one, asking for strength to give of ourselves to meet the needs of others. He recognises that it "is in giving that we receive", that as we give of ourselves, we receive the peace and blessing of our risen Lord Jesus. We cannot earn eternal life, but that we are pardoned from the sins that block our claim on it. Think about the situations that you are involved in that require peace, consolation, hope, light and joy. Then, if you're bold enough, pray the prayer!
Prayer Request for Our Deb Taylor

Deb was admitted to Hospital late last night. I feel guided to share with you the following prayer.

Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

Please lift up a prayer for Deb and her family, husband Tim, daughters Tatum and Sloane.
Thank you!

Good Monday Morning, Our Most Loyal Subjects!

Saturday was THE most exciting day! As HM Queen Mum posted, We were to assist her in Air Traffic Controller duties to keep Our Most Gracious Godmother Deb, Our Honoured Lady ML and Lord Charley and Lady Sloane informed as to the progress of Miss K. in her travels to Houston, TX from Los Angeles, Ca.

Our Fairy Godmother Karen C, who did such a Blessed Deed to have found, nurtured and ultimately save Miss K.C. from a fate worse than the Tower overcame obstacles with grace and dignity, as befitting her gifts of kindness and perserverance to gain the release of little K.C. Of Course, Godmother Deb, known to us and now decreed that she be known to all as "She Who Must Be Obeyed", fought the Good Fight with the Evil Shelter "manager" (excuse Us while we stifle a cough {^^cough^^}. Society MAY benefit if said Manager resigned with working with our extended families of felines and woofies, and instead, "managed" the cleansing human kitty litter boxes.

Continental Flight 136 went off with a slight hitch, as departure was delayed from Los Angeles and therefore caused an arrival delay into Houston of approximately 25 minutes. Our little cousin, Bravehearted K.C. seemed to take it all in stride, and demonstrated NONE of the wicked things said about her by the Los Angeles shelter...Well, Sour Grapes! Mis K.C. is due for her first HONEST check-up with the Wise Dr Smith, Our kittenhood vetrinarian, who is a most Kind woman of medicine! We are anxiously awaiting to hear of her report!

It was asked that a comparison photo of Prince Brutus napping on HM Queen Mum's legs be published to make a comparason to the photo a few entries down, when he fell asleep the day of his journey. He has grown so quickly it brings tears to Queen Mum's eyes! He is 100% happy and healthy, and is expected to undergo...ahem..."THE procedure" the second Monday of August. Let's not breathe a word of this to him, shall we? He impetuously, but in all sincerely proposed Marriage to Sanjee, of the H(mb)C. She swept his fuzzy litle heart away at first glance of her picture. Sanjee most respecfully declined his paw in marriage, but We hope they will remain friends...perhaps a Cream Catnip Tea in the Rose Garden, on occasion.

Well! SO many events transpire in the course of a day, We must choose to save news for another day! We do hope you enjoy today's digital photos! The Queen Mum has become a pictire-taking fool! But, she can't help but be charming, at her age!

We pray for a good week for all our friends, and do have a Blessed Day!

Good Morning, and Happy Friday, Everyone!
HM Queen Mum began to play with her new Digital Camera yesterday, after carefully reading the instructions. She's like a schoolgirl again, looknig out for "Photo Ops", as she calls them. It's a wonder she put the silver box down long enough to write this morning!
The BEST news this weekend is the liberation of our cousin, K.C. from Captivity in Los Angeles, Ca. Tomorrow, bright and early, she will be boarding a Continental flight to Houston, Texas!
We hope she can sleep most of the way, as we did. At one moment, Godmother Deb and Our Dear Tatum and Sloan were kissing and hugging us goodbye. We were very sad to leave Taylor House, because all we knew our whole life was love there. The staff at Continental made sure we were comfortable the entire time, and gently handled only when necessary. Lady ML and Queen Mum kept monitoring our progress to Newark International Airport from Houston. It dawned on Queen Mum that the flight times and distance were very much like our own experience. K.C. will be in the loving arms of TWO mommys! We hope to be able to post a photo of K.C. here for all to meet her!
Well, Queen Mum wants to carry the silver box around some more, so we'll close for now.
Thanks to all for visiting!
Have a Blessed Day!

Hello everyone!

Queen Mum has "issues" she needs to resolve with "Blogger" before she wishes to share even more photos of QEIII and the Young Royals. This is a photograph of Prince Brutus on the day He arrived from Our Most Gracious Godmother Deb in Houston, TX to Our home in Highland Park, NJ. The Royal Flight on Continental Airlines was a smooth one, but tiring, all the same. This is a photo of HRH Prince Brutus, succumbing to a nap onQueen Mum's ankles. Prince Brutus has grown so since arriving in New Jersey 4 weels ago! At last nap. he stretches out the entire length of Queen Mum's leg! HRH Princess Marigold, believe it or not, is now the size that Prince Brutus was in the photo!

Our Most Gracious Godmother Deb outdid herself in the last parcel recieved on Tuesday evening! It contained feather toys, name tags, clove oil for the Queen Mum's nasty toothache, and suprises of all suprises!! A Kodak Easy Share Digital Camera!! Queen Mum sorted out the picture taking functions and has been having a great amount of fun, following us about for "Kodak Moments"! The next function is to do something to transfer the photos to the computer so we can share with you. That will probably be as early as next week!

There is more exciting news! Fairy Godmother Karen C. of California, rescued a distant cousin of ours, who has been named by Godmother Deb after Karen C. - K.C. A badly misunderstood kitten when she was brough into a dreaded Animal Shelter and condemned into "the Back Room". One can only shudder to think! Well, Fairy Godmother Karen C. will be rescuing K.C., and on Saturday, she will be embarking on travel to Houston to meet Our Godmother Deb and Our Lady ML, who assists Us with "Tech Support" selflessly. Lady ML will ultimately be K.C.'s Mum, but will be spending time at Taylor House for a bit, first.

There is So much more good stories to share!! We shall post at a later date to share them with you all!

Do have a Most Blessed Day!

Heat Stroke??!

It seems Blogger had a portion of Gatorade, because up popped the 2 posts I thought were lost!

Now, officially, Queen Mother Rose and The Royals have...
.........Multiple Posting Disorder!!!.......

Good Day, All!!

Thank you for visiting Us today, and on such a sweltering day at that! As we write, the temperature is 100 F, and with the humidity factored in, it feels like 110 F!! Way too hot to ask Cook to fire up the kitchen range, so we sent out for a pizza. We chose a Chicken Fajita Pizza from Poppa John's, as you can see. Princess Marigold likes her pizza spicy, so she is examining the spice packets that came along with the pizza. Unfortunately, they were fresh out of Organic Catnip, the Queen's favourite. We understand a fresh shipment will be delivered momentarily! We thank or Most Favoured Servant, ML, for the gift of the catnip!

Queen Mum is expecting a mystery parcel to be delivered by a nice young man wearing brown shorts at any moment, now! We So love suprises! It's like Christmas in July!!

Please do excuse us while we wait expectantly by the door for this nice young man...Queen Mum is seriously considering asking the nice young man wearing brown shorts if he would pose for a photo holding the parcel, but doesn't want to appear affected by the heat. However, the temptation is strong, and Queen Mum's resolve is weak, alas...

We will chat again very soon! Have a most Blessed Day!

Good Day, Loyal Subjects!

I'm afraid we are having technical difficulties on two fronts. Queen Mum Rose couldn't get a photo to download, and Blogger ate her recent post of information regarding said problem. We are Not Amused. We will attempt to correct the situation and with Providence's help, post later this afternoon.

Wishing all a most blessed day!
Good Day, Loyal Subjects!

For once, the technical difficulties I have with the Royals site is NOT the fault of Blogger (shhh, don't let them hear that!). Hence, no picture at this post. We are working on the problem and hope to have it sorted out by this afternoon.

HM Queen Emily seems to be experiencing a touch of Melancholia. I'm a bit concerned for her. I fear she's been overwhelmed by The Young Royals, so I gave them a quiet Time Out, and spent time with Emily alone.. She seemed to feel a bit better, as keeping up with all that youthful exuberance is daunting, to say the least. I'm thinking perhaps, having not been a mama herself, she still doesn't quite know what these tiny fuzzy creatures are supposed to be, exactly! When they are all grown, (which I personally hope is later rather than sooner!), I expect her to have an aHah!" moment and and the heirarchy of the House of Myres will be reestablished. After all, WHO IS QUEEN?!

Queen Mum is anticipating anothre parcel from the Most Gracious Godmother Deb, which will be delivered today by a man wearing brown shorts...how intriguing...the parcel is of interest, as well!

Have a Most Blessed Day, and we shall update everyone once the parcel is delivered.!

Good Day, Loyal Subjects!

HM The Queen Mum has submitted this photo of HRH Princess Marigold to "The Daily Kitten" for consideration. "The Daily Kitten" holds a stong sentmental place in Our hearts, as there is where we all came to know each other. "TDK" begat "Kat's Cat of the Day", where HM Queen Emily was featured recently, and where the initial concept for Rose and the Royals began. We all have a long (well, for our 14 weeks of life) history together.

It was suggested today, by Our Most Gracious Godmother Deb, that Our Biography be written. And so it shall be. HM Queen Mum will begin Her outline today, and We will share Our lives with you from Our earliest memories.

Godmother Deb accomplished a most remarkable feat of gracious charity today! She was made aware of a rescue shelter in Paterson, NJ in despirate need of a new air conditioner. The Kindhearted Lady Leslee Dimond, of "Here Kitty Kitty, Inc." circulated an electronic mail message alerting those among the Feline Inclined population to her plight. As Fate would have it, The Queen Mum noticed this message and forwarded it among Our FuZZ Family. As always, Godmother Deb responded immediately to the needs of Our cousins in New Jersey, and contacted The Home Depot in Passaic, NJ. Now, Godmother Deb is a true Lady of action! What can be done tomorrow may as well be done today, and after speaking with the kind Manager for 5 minutes or so, she had procured a DONATION of a Brand New Air Conditioner for Lady Leslee's cattery! Not only that! Our Lady ML, also of generous heart, donated to the cattery funds to help provide for Fresh Step Cat Litter, Lady Leslee's choice brand, and other necessities our cousins may have. If Our Subjects would like to visit "Here Kitty Kitty, Inc." site, it can be viewed by the following link: (http://www.herekittykitty.petfinder.org/) .

Well, we've had a most eventful morning, and it has just chimed 12:00 Noon!

We thank you as always for visiting us, and hope you have a Most Blessed Day!

Good Morning, Loyal Subjects!

I was just planning to do some work on the site, but something really, REALLY
funny happened this morning that had me
laughing so hard, I had tears in my eyes!
I was making the bed around 3 romping Royals, when Brutus noticed the dressing mirror I have attached to the wall, across from the bed. It's about 4 feet away from the edge of the bed, and I guess Brutus noticed the OTHER cat - his reflection, in the mirror! Now, as he's been growing SO quickly, his jumping skills would be the envy of any Olympic athlete. (Oh, that gave me a thought: I should DISCUSS the next CatOlympics with him!) Quick as a shot, he made a flying leap towards the mirror, a perfect Long Jump...RIGHT INTO THE WALL!!! It was like a Road Runner cartoon, when Wyle E. Cayote hits a canyon wall and slowly slides down! He looked so embarrassed! It was precious! A tale (tail?) I heard once, is that one should never laugh at a cat, because they CAN get embarrassed and maybe need therapy, I don't know... I know only that I thank God every moment of the day for those two young ones, and for my precious, Emily! I think about the fact that if it were not for Our most compassionate Deb Taylor, those two ginger FuZZes would not be bringing me such joy! Rescuers DO have a special place in Heaven waiting for them!

THE RESCUE RAINBOW BRIDGEAuthor Unknown

Unlike most days at Rainbow Bridge, this day dawned cold and ray, damp as a swamp and as dismal as could be imagined. All of the recent arrivals had no idea what to think, as they had never experienced a day like this before. But the animals that had been waiting for their beloved people knew exactly what was going on and started to gather at the pathway leading to The Bridge to watch.It wasn't long before an elderly cat came into view, head hung low and tail dragging. The other animals, the ones who had been there for a while, knew what his story was right away, for they had seen this happen far too often. He approached slowly, obviously in great emotional pain, but with no sign of injury or illness. Unlike all of the other animals waiting at The Bridge, this animal had not been restored to youth and made healthy and vigorous again. As he walked toward The Bridge, he watched all of the other animals watching him.
He knew he was out of place here and the sooner he could cross over, the happier he would be. But, alas, as he approached The Bridge, his way was barred by the appearance of an Angel who apologized, but told him that he would not be able to pass. Only those who were with their people could pass over Rainbow Bridge.

With no place else to turn to, the elderly cat turned towards the fields before The Bridge and saw a group of other cats like him, also elderly and infirm. They weren't playing, but rather simply lying on the green grass, forlornly staring out at the pathway leading to The Bridge. And so, he took his place among them, watching the pathway and waiting.
One of the newest arrivals at The Bridge didn't understand what he had just witnessed and asked one of the animals that had been there for awhile to explain it to him. You see, that poor animal was a rescue. He was turned in to res! cue just as you see him now, an older cat with his fur graying and his eyes clouding. He never made it out of rescue and passed on with only the love of his rescuer to comfort him as he left his earthly existence. Because he had no family to give his love to, he has no one to escort him across The Bridge.The first cat thought about this for a minute and then asked, "So what will happen now?"

As he was about to receive his answer, the clouds suddenly parted and the gloom lifted. Approaching The Bridge could be seen a single person and among the older animals, a whole group was suddenly bathed in a golden lig! ht and they were all young and healthy again, just as they were in the prime of life."Watch, and see" said the second feline. A second group of animals from those waiting came to the pathway and bowed low as the person neared. At each bowed head, the person offered a pat on the head or! a scratch behind the ears. The newly restored animals fell into line and followed him towards The Bridge.
They all crossed The Bridge together. "What happened?" "That was a rescuer." The animals you saw bowing in respect were those who found new homes because of his work. They will cross when their new families arrive. Those you saw restored were those who never found homes. When a rescuer arrives, they are allowed to perform one, final act of rescue. They are allowed to escort all those poor animals that they couldn't place on earth, across The Rainbow Bridge."I think I like rescuers", said the first animal.

Have a Blessed Day, Everyone and their special FuZZes!

Good Morning!

The Royal Family woke at sunrise. The Queen Mum could have used a sleep-in, since she had but 2 hours sleep: all sorts of thoughts racing through Her head. She did recall part of a dream that fussed Her some, needing a nice hot cuppa at about 4:30 AM, but she declines to comment on it, preferring to keep it Her "Dirty Little Secret", she confided with a wink!

Godmother Deb sent The Young Royals a parcel, which arrived last evening. In it, were the Young Royals early kittenhood bed, which they recalled straight-away. Three brand new collars, one for each of the Young Royals, in the appropriate shade of Royal Blue, with very pretty whimsical designs, and one for HM Queen Emily, in a sporty shade of yellow, which She most enjoys. One can only wear those old hand-me-down diamonds and pearls from Grandmama for so long...the Royal Family were most impressed with the vast array of playthings, of all descriptions that Deb so carfully packaged. HM the Queen enjoyed the Young Royals antics for the better part of an hour.

It has been announced that this site documenting the Royal Family will be from today forward known as "Rose and the Royals". Rose is Our most gracious Lady-in-Waiting, and does a few things, here and there for us. Today, Rose plans to change the template to reflect the chosen Royal Title.

Well, that will be all for now. We have not had our breakfast yet, and yearn for a nice cup of tea.

Have a most Blessed Day!

Well, as Prince Brutus and Princess Marigold
bids all a good night, we shall, tomorrow, see what we shall see...

It's past the Queen Mum's bedtime, too...

g'night!!
HM Queen Emily welcomes you to the first photo enhanced post to our Royal Blog, Queen Mother Rose and the Royals!
Hello, My Fuzz Family!

This post is a rehearsal. I will attempt to post 2 photos, while standing on my head, balancing 2 kittens on my feet, using HM Queen Emily as a headcushion and drinking a glass of iced tea.

It may as well be true, because at this precise moment, that scenario seems easier!

I am considering changing the name, or creating a second blog, since this idea seems to be heading towards a Royal Family History Blog...name suggestions, please?!

Well, here goes!
